Frequently Asked Questions

What is a phytocannabinoid?

Phytocannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in cannabis plants. The most famous phytocannabinoids are CBD and THC.

Why don’t you call your oil CBD oil?

We trust the entourage effect. CBD alone is great, but we believe in the synergistic power of all of the phytocannabinoids and terpenes working together. We want our customers to get the best benefits possible from hemp extract that hasn’t been manipulated. That is why we call our product exactly what it is— hemp extract oil.

Is it legal?

Industrial Hemp has been federally legal since the Agricultural Act of 2014, also known as The Farm Bill (click to see more information). This legislation was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in 2014.

On December 20, 2018, President Trump sign the 2018 Farm Bill into law.

-Section 7120 (p.313): Includes hemp in the USDA’s pupplemental and alternative crops programs.

-Section 297A  of 10113 (p.429): Defines hemp as all parts of the plant less than 0.3% THC, including “derivatives,” “extracts” and “cannabinoids.”

-Section 12619 (p.540): Hepm is removed from the definition of “marijuana,” and THC found in hemp is excluded from the definition of a controlled substance.

There can be a lot of confusion over the legality of marijuana versus Industrial Hemp, which is why the long and short answer is this: Industrial Hemp (and the oil that comes from the crop) is legal, both state-wide and federally, throughout the country. You can purchase our products online, and they can be sold in various parts of the country.

Will this get me high?

THC is the cannabinoid that causes the psychoactive effect of feeling “high or stoned” and is present in high levels in the marijuana plant. Our hemp extract oil is derived from industrial hemp, not marijuana.

How much should I take?

We believe and starting low and going slow. What works for your friend may not work for you. Since we all have different metabolisms, body mass, levels of pain and inflammation, tolerance or sensitivity, etc., finding the individual serving that works best for you will require some observation in the beginning.

It should also be noted that some people don’t find relief with the first serving. Most people do best with daily incorporation so that the phytocannabinoids stay in your system, rather than using it as needed. Because of this, some people don’t notice a difference until several weeks of continuous use have passed.
